OLTL—Monday–10/1—The Countess is going to be sorry.

Cole is reunited with his family, Starr and Hope and he vows to her he will never let anyone come between them again.  She tells him the entire story of what Hannah did to them and then he tells her that Eli led everyone to believe that he had killed them in the blast at the warehouse.  He tells Starr he completely lost it when he thought they were dead; he picked up a gun and shot Eli to death.  Starr is horrified, realizing that now, Cole may go to prison for the rest of his life!!

Marty continues to insist to John that SHE killed Eli, however, the ballistics reports says otherwise.  Marty's fingerprints are on the gun, but Cole's are also.  Natalie tries to come up with reasons for why it couldn't be Cole, but in the end, John sees through the smoke screen.  Marty tries to bargain with John, and he tells her that if it was just him, he could probably figure out a way to cover it up, but Natalie is involved; and if it ever came to light that she covered up a murder charge, she would be the one going to prison, and he couldn't let that happen.  He tells her he is sorry.  Now, Marty is angry with Natalie, but she tries not to show it until Natalie apologizes for not being able to cover for her.  Marty won't hear it and slaps Natalie telling her she is definitely going to be sorry now.

James comes over to Cole's apartment to tell him that his mother confessed to killing Eli, but that the police do not believe her story and they are probably on their way to arrest him.  Cole cannot even believe what his mother is trying to do and rushes out of the apartment to straight things out, and confess.  Starr shows up at the hospital with Hope to see Blair who is waiting for a check up after her ordeal at the warehouse.  When John arrives at Cole's apartment, only James is there to open the door.

Rex and Viki confront Echo about the heart necklace.  Rex tells her it belonged to his father Rick, and his mother, Lili had the other half; but she left it inside his blanket when she abandoned him as a new born, at the Llanview Hospital.  He wants to know where Echo got the heart. She tells them it was a gift, but that she never knew anyone in Atlantic City named Rick.  Rex reads a passage from one of the love letters he was told was sent to Lili from Rick.  Echo says she doesn't recognize it.  After she is gone, Viki tells Rex she would be interested in examining the other letters that he has, because what he read aloud, sounded strangely familiar.

Clint is at home with Nigel and is looking at the heart necklace.  They have a brief conversation.  Nigel tells Clint that Roxy has befriended Echo and thought he might want to know.  Clint tells Nigel, he has already encountered her a few times.  Nigel says, he's sorry to hear that, but Clint tells him, he thinks it is the "Countess" who is going to sorry.

Later, when he is alone, Clint takes a book off the shelf to read.  The title of the book is "The Love Letters of Rick and Lili" and he smiles devilishly.  Looks like another mystery is just beginning.

Dun, dun, da.....
