20.  Who Do You Think This Is?

It is none other than the Domestic Goddess, Roseanne Barr!  I saw an interview with her recently, and she is a lot smarter than we thought.  She's up on what's going on, and she makes a lot of sense.  So what else is she doing, you ask?  She owns and operates a 46-acre Macadamia nut farm on the Hamakua coast in Honokaa on the northern end of the Big Island Hawaii.  Roseanne’s Nuts are available on Amazon.com.

She is living with her writer/musician boyfriend of 12 years, Johnny Argent.  She says she is happier than she has ever been. She has a fully-functioning vegetable farm, plus chickens for their eggs.  Her goal is to become completely self-sufficient by growing all of her own food.  She considers herself a farmer.
Good for her!

19.  Clinton Cash

We haven't seen or heard much from Hillary lately, because she has been completely focused on fund-raising; and not on unimportant issues, like what is happening in this country and how people are coping or not copying with all of the social and economic problems.  Her efforts have paid off though; she raised over $140 million in August.

As a reward for all her hard work, fake smiling and schmoozing with other multi-millionaires in the Hamptons; she decided to buy herself a brand new 737.  She has also changed her campaign slogan from “I’m With Her” to “Stronger Together” and had it emblazoned on the side of her new plane.

Her supporters feel that she deserves a private jet; because, afterall, she is a woman and is entitled to everything that men have.  Excuse me, but Trump earned his 757; he didn't buy it with campaign contributions!  Don't get me started...

Everyone is saying this video is a MUST SEE.  It is definitely an eye-opener.  Please take the time to watch it.

18.  Transcending Normal

Since the 1990s, David Icke has made his name as a professional conspiracy theorist; calling himself a "full time investigator into who and what is really controlling the world."   He is definitely eccentric, but also has deep thoughts and interesting, intuitive opinions.  He draws big audiences wherever he speaks.

The Artist, Prince requested a meeting with Icke; and it was arranged that they would meet after one of his concerts.  Icke was very surprised that Prince had read several of his books.  And, he was very impressed with Prince's intelligence and respect for others.  This is what he said about him:

“What he was, was a public expression of all the inspiration and potential that is lying in wait for anyone who wants to or chooses to open their minds from the Normal program and connect with it.

Because, when you do that, it’s not just connecting with it, it’s then expressing it—expressing Not Normal in a world of Normal and taking all the consequences that come with that.  Prince transcended the Normal.”

Icke summed up with this:

“Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.  Prince could hear the music and the world was better for it.”

There was a rainbow over Paisley Park the morning he died.

17.  The Six Phases of Your New Job

This has been around for a while, but it is still funny!

 Phase 1
You are listening to Jazz

Your first day at work is great...

Your co-workers are wonderful.

Your office is cute.

You love your boss.

 Phase 2
You are listening to
Pop music

After a while,

you are so busy,

you are not sure

if you're coming or going.

 Phase 3
You are listening to
Heavy Metal

This is what happens after about SIX Months!

 Phase 4
You are listening to
Hip Hop

You've become bloated due to stress.

You're gaining weight due to lack of exercise.

You feel sluggish and suffer from constipation.

Your co-workers are too cheerful for your liking, and
the walls of your cubicle are
closing in.

 Phase 5
You are listening to
GANGSTA RAP

After more time passes, your eyes start to twitch.

You forget what a 'good hair day' feels like.

You just fall out of bed and load up on caffeine.

 Phase 6
You are listening to the voices in your head

You have locked the office door to keep people out.

You wonder WHY am I even here in the first place, and WHY did I come to work today!

16.  Big News about Prince’s Paisley Park Complex

It was just announced that Prince's Paisley Park estate is being readied to open for public tours on October 6, 2016.  The tours will be operated by Graceland Holdings; the same company that runs Elvis' Graceland home.

Millions of Prince fans from around the world will get the chance to tour the 65,000 square-foot complex in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen, where Prince died.  The Trust handling the estate has applied to rezone the property so it can function as a museum.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson is very pleased with the plans; saying, “Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on.”  She added, “Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime.”

The tour will be limited to the first floor; but the studio where he recorded most of his albums, the performance stage and practice rooms, will be included.  The video below, will give you a glimpse at his private living space.

15.  Can You Hear Me Now?

Every day, it’s more shouting and insults; more lies, deceit, and cover-ups.  I'm not talking about a soap opera.  Sadly, I'm referring to the U.S. presidential campaign.  Talking louder doesn't make me want to listen.

All we want to hear from the candidates is why they would be the best choice for the job.  Instead we hear them attacking each other and defending themselves from the other’s lies.  It’s especially hard to stay focused on the big picture, when the opponent is a crazy person.  What a waste of time!

Now I understand why the presidential campaign needs to drag on for as long as it does; because it is like a courtship.  You can’t really tell what a person is like until you live with them for awhile.  Right now, I don't want to live with either one of them.  Ha-ha

14.  "Vulgarity it is the attempt of a feeble mind
        to express itself forcefully"

Several different people have been credited with authoring this quote, however, no one knows for sure.

I am opposed to profanity.  When someone uses "colorful language" to get attention or just for shock value, they belittle themselves.  If someone gets particularly nasty with me, I like to use the quote because it is such an appropriate put down.

Over the weekend, a popular entertainer
(I won't mention any names) from the 60s/70s/80s, made an appearance at a fund raiser for Hillary Clinton.  During the heyday of this person’s popularity, I was a huge fan.

The news media referred to the particularly vulgar things that the performer said about Donald Trump and I just found it to be sad and very disappointing.  He/she dropped several "F-Bombs" during the tongue lashing of Trump and even called him Hitler

Some people just aren't capable of conducting themselves with class or good taste.

13.  The Very Latest on the Prince Investigation

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, pills confiscated from Prince's Paisley Park compound were mislabeled as Oxycodone, when they were actually counterfeit fentanyl, which is the drug that the toxicology report indicated was the cause of death.  The lab reportedly analyzed "dozens" of pills found in his home.

The Tribune states that the musician weighed 112 lbs. at the time of his death.  It was previously reported that during the autopsy, he was weighed at 80 lbs.  Fans at his Atlanta concert, commented that he was very thin.

The quantity of fentanyl in his system was so great, that no one, no matter how much he weighed, could have survived the dosage.  The Tribune is quoted as saying he "had significantly more than a fatal dose of fentanyl in his system" and added that "investigators are leaning toward the theory that he took the pills without knowing they contained fentanyl.

An unusual bit of information being reported is that when the EMS found Prince's body in the elevator, he was wearing a shirt, pants and socks that were all on backwards and inside out.  What does that mean?

It is now being reported by the Chicago Tribune that when Prince's private plane made an emergency landing in Moline, IL, on the way home from Atlanta one week before his death, the paramedics had to give him two shots of Narcan while still on the tarmac in order to revive him before they took him to the hospital.  The paper also states that authorities found a prescription bottle in someone else's name that contained 10 oxycodone pills, but did not reveal who was listed on the prescription.

There is an ongoing investigation to try to determine where Prince got the counterfeit fentanyl, and they will be considering criminal charges when that has been determined.

12.  Really Interesting—What Do You Think?

Everyone has a gift or talent that is inherent and is probably our life's purpose.  Some people know what it is from their earliest memories.  Some of us take longer to discover it.

I recently became acquainted with a spiritual medium named Rob Gutro.  Rob is a scientist by vocation, but his gift is the ability to communicate with animals and people who have died.  In particular, the animals are usually pets who want to deliver a message to their former caregivers—mostly as a way of letting them know they are okay in their new life.  Animals don't have any concept of death, they just move into the new dimension.  They do know they are no longer with their human caregivers; but their previous animal companions and animal-loving humans are there, waiting for them, so they are never alone or afraid.  They are happy and healthy again and ready to explore "heaven."

I definitely believe there is another "life" after earth life. I agree with Rob, that we transition "to a different state of energy."  I also believe there are different levels of energy, just like there are 40W light bulbs and 100W light bulbs--depending on your level of enlightenment.  What you learn on earth goes with you, but if you didn't learn anything, you will have to start at the beginning.  You will be given a "guide" to help you decide whether you can learn at your current energy level or if you need to return to earth to learn more.  In my opinion, that is why some people die young.  After they have learned their life's lesson(s), there is no reason to linger.  My personal belief is that earth life is the lowest level.

I agree with Rob, that the afterlife has nothing to do with religion.  Religion was created by man.  Jesus never said anything about building a church, performing a bunch of nonsensical rituals, or, by the way, we are going to need money, so leave 10% of your income by the door.  Jesus was a prophet.  Because his thinking was so radical from what people believed at the time, he was worshiped by the crowds that followed him, to hear him speak.  Religious fanatics are nothing more than "groupies."  Beliefs have become skewed over the years.  Christianity was originally a way to promote "good," but eventually, as the church grew, it became apparent that more control was needed; so they turned "good" into "God" and thus invented an enforcer to instill fear.

Religion is based on fear since most people are afraid NOT to believe in it.  It is the same thing that parents do to control children.  They tell them that Santa Claus is watching everything that they do.  "He knows when you are sleeping.  He knows when you're awake.  He knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake."

Rob has written several books about the afterlife.  His most recent book is Pets and the Afterlife 2 and is available on Amazon and on his blog Ghosts and Spirits Insights  You'll learn some of the "signs" that pets send to us so we will know they are thinking about us.

11.  Here's the Good News I Promised

Aside from being adorable, this photo may have actually saved the lives of the two pups pictured in it.

An Atlanta-based animal rescue organization posted the photo of the shelter pups, Kiera and Kala, along with a message, saying the two dogs would soon be separated, and headed for death row.  The folks at Angels Among Us Pet Rescue hoped that the picture would help Kiera and Kala find a home in the nick of time.

The photo was shared thousands of times; and as a result, the furry pals were adopted just two hours later by the man pictured, who brought them home—together.

This is just plain funny.  Click here:  Dog imitates baby learning to talk.
