16.  Big News about Prince’s Paisley Park Complex

It was just announced that Prince's Paisley Park estate is being readied to open for public tours on October 6, 2016.  The tours will be operated by Graceland Holdings; the same company that runs Elvis' Graceland home.

Millions of Prince fans from around the world will get the chance to tour the 65,000 square-foot complex in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen, where Prince died.  The Trust handling the estate has applied to rezone the property so it can function as a museum.

Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson is very pleased with the plans; saying, “Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on.”  She added, “Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime.”

The tour will be limited to the first floor; but the studio where he recorded most of his albums, the performance stage and practice rooms, will be included.  The video below, will give you a glimpse at his private living space.

That's a great idea. It will bring a lot of tourism to the state, generate income, and allow fans the opportunity to see that amazing looking studio up close. Thanks for the interesting post.
